The ICC World Cup 2023 qualifiers match is an exciting event in international cricket. Zimbabwe will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in the months of June and July 2023. This qualifier competition to choose the final two participants in the forthcoming 2023 World Cup is being held for the 12th time. Zimbabwe Cricket already hosted a World Cup qualification tournament in March 2018, hence this will not be their first time hosting the ICC World Cup Qualifiers competition.

All the enthralling matches of this World Cup 2023 qualifier will be held in four different stadiums in Harare and Bulawayo i.e,
- Harare Sports Club
- Takashinga Cricket Club
- Queens Sports Club
- Bulawayo Athletic Club.
Format
Each team will compete against the other once during the group phase, and the top three teams from each group will be confirmed for the Super Six stage. The teams will compete against the teams they didn’t play in the group round during the Super Six stage. Reaching the final is the ultimate objective for each team, as the winners will earn a spot in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Notably, matches starting at the Super Six stage onwards will be the first to use the Decision Review System (DRS) completely.

The net run rate for each side in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier will be computed in addition to the overall match results. The two teams who move to the following round are decided by the final rankings, which are heavily influenced by the net run rate. The following criteria will be applied to determine the final rankings of the teams when two teams are tied on points:
- The squad with the most victories will move up the rankings.
- The team with a greater victory total against other teams with an equal number of points and victories will be rated higher if the number of victories stays the same.
- The team with the highest net run rate will be granted a higher rating if there is still a tie.
- The teams will be placed in order based on their initial seeding if they are still deadlocked.
Dates for ICC World Cup 2023 qualifiers
The ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifier round will be played between 10 teams from June 18 to July 9, 2023, with the winner securing their berth in the tournament.
On June 2 at the Harare Sports Club, the competition will begin with Zimbabwe, the host country, taking on Nepal. On June 18, the West Indies, a two-time World Cup champion, will play their neighbouring team, the United States, at Takashinga Cricket Club.
On June 19, matches in Group B will get underway in Bulawayo. At Queen’s Sports Club, Sri Lanka, the 1996 World Cup champions, will play host to the United Arab Emirates. Ireland will face Oman at Bulawayo Athletic Club in the same location. While Scotland will take on their opponents, Ireland, in Bulawayo on June 21, at Queens Sports Club, the Netherlands will begin their campaign against Zimbabwe on June 20 at the Harare Sports Club.
Beginning on June 29, the Super Six stage will feature matches between the top clubs from each group.
