The ICC’s Future Tour Program outlines an Australia vs West Indies ODI Series 2024, slated to take place during West Indies’ visit to Australia in January-February 2024. Australian Cricket has confirmed their hosting of the upcoming Australia vs West Indies ODI series in February. The 2024 Aus vs WI ODI series will comprise three One Day Internationals to be held in Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra. Kicking off at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 2, 2024, the series will progress to the Sydney Cricket Ground for the second ODI on February 4, followed by the final ODI at Manuka Oval, Canberra, on February 6.
The last time West Indies toured Australia was in 2013 for a bilateral series of five One Day Internationals, which Australia dominated, securing a clean sweep of 5-0. West Indies’ most recent bilateral ODI series victory against Australia dates back to 1994-95, where they triumphed 4-1. Since then, they have struggled to secure a series win against Australia, whether playing at home or away.
It’s anticipated that West Indies will tour Australia under the leadership of Shai Hope, with Darren Sammy serving as head coach. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins is likely to captain the Australian ODI side, under the coaching of Andrew McDonald. Australia currently holds the top spot in the ICC ODI team rankings, while West Indies occupies the 10th position.

With the Tests behind them, attention now shifts to the ODIs.
The three-match series kicks off on February 2 in Melbourne, followed by the second ODI on February 4 in Sydney, and the third ODI on February 6 in Canberra.
