The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the specifics of its broadcast plans for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, designed to bring fans closer to the action than ever before.
The largest Men’s Cricket World Cup to date is set to begin with a rematch of the 2019 final, as New Zealand faces England in Ahmedabad. The tournament will conclude with the final at the world’s largest stadium on November 19.
Disney Star, the ICC’s global broadcast partner, along with its licensees, will globally broadcast all 48 matches live.
In India, cricket enthusiasts can tune in to the Star Sports Network to follow the action as the host nation strives to claim the trophy for the first time since 2011. Star Sports will not only broadcast the tournament in English but also in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The digital platform Disney+ Hotstar will provide live coverage of each match.
Furthermore, in India, ICC TV’s innovative vertical feed coverage, supported by Disney Star, will offer fans a more user-friendly and intuitive mobile viewing experience for all 48 matches, enabling them to enjoy content on the go.
Defending champions England are seeking to maintain their title, and fans in the UK can watch the live coverage on Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Mix, Sky Showcase, and digitally through the SkyGO and Sky Sports App. For the first time, primetime, free-to-air highlights will be accessible on Channel 5 and the My5 App.
In the USA, WillowTV will be the channel to follow, and coverage will also be accessible through the ESPN+ app. In South Africa and 52 other Sub-Saharan African territories, SuperSport and its app will broadcast the action. Australian coverage will be provided by Fox Sports and Kayo, along with select matches on Channel Nine and 9Now. For New Zealand fans, Sky Sport NZ is the go-to destination for Men’s Cricket World Cup matches.
In the UAE and the entire MENA region, all matches will be streamed live on STARZPLAY, with broadcast coverage available on CricLife MAX in the UAE.
