The schedule for the Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023 has been jointly announced by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today. The 50-over format tournament is set to take place from August 30 to September 17, with Pakistan hosting four matches and Sri Lanka hosting nine matches.

The competition will span across four venues for its 13 matches. In Pakistan, Multan will kick off the tournament with a match between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30, followed by three matches in Lahore. Sri Lanka will utilize Kandy for the initial three matches and Colombo for the five Super-4 stage games and the final match on September 17.

Sri Lanka will start their campaign against Bangladesh in Kandy on August 31. India's debut match in the tournament will be against Pakistan in Kandy on September 2. If both Pakistan and India progress to the Super-4 stage, they will face each other again on September 10 in Colombo.

After the opening match in Multan, the remaining three matches in Pakistan will be held at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. On September 3, Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan, followed by Afghanistan versus Sri Lanka on September 5. If the pre-event seeding holds true, Pakistan will meet Bangladesh in their first Super-4 match on September 6.

Pakistan and India are the top seeds in Group A (A1 and A2, respectively), with Nepal as the third side. In Group B, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the top seeds (B1 and B2, respectively), with Afghanistan as the third side. If Nepal and Afghanistan advance to the Super-4 stage, they will replace the dropped-out sides' seeding from the initial round.
