| South Africa vs Netherlands ODI Series |
The Netherlands Cricket Association has announced that they will visit South Africa for a bilateral series of three One Day International matches in the months of November and December 2021. The South Africa vs. New Zealand ODI 2021 series will be a competition in the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
The first game in the ODI series will take place on November 26, 2021. On November 28 and December 1, 2021, the second and third one-day internationals will be played. The three one-day international matches will all take place at Centurion Park in Centurion. In South Africa, this cricket pitch is also well-known under the name SuperSport Park.
After Match 1, this Series was postponed. The final two games will take place in March and April of 2023.
After the ICC T20 World Cup, South Africa will host the Netherlands before hosting India and Bangladesh. Temba Bavuma currently serves as the running captain of the South African ODI team, while Pieter Seelaar currently leads the Netherlands. South Africa has prevailed in the last four head-to-head One Day International games between it and the Netherlands.
The final one-day international was played at Amstelveen on May 31, 2013, and South Africa won by a score of 83 runs. The Netherlands does not have a great record against South Africa, and no cricket team has ever found it easy to play against Africa at home.
The Netherlands is currently ranked 11th in the ICC ODI rankings, while South Africa is ranked fifth. The Netherlands lacks experienced players, but they will give it their all and have a great opportunity to learn from this upcoming ODI series in South Africa.
South Africa has a strong batting lineup and good pacers. The Netherlands will have the chance to improve and hone their cricket by playing against a team that is loaded with talented and seasoned cricketers. It will be interesting to see how the Netherlands performs on the quick and lively African pitch.
